Moss Agate is not banded, and therefore not strictly an Agate in scientific terms; but is included in the Agate family.
It is a semi-precious gemstone formed from silicon dioxide. It is a form of chalcedony which includes minerals of a green colour embedded in the stone, forming filaments and other patterns suggestive of moss.

Stone Properties:
Moss Agate is associated with nature and agriculture, and brings new beginnings. Sometimes called Dendritic Agate because of its beautiful Dendrite formations, Moss Agate is associated with nature spirits bringing earth energy into its healing. Moss Agate is a stone of new beginnings, and promotes release from old habits. It also attracts wealth and abundance, improves self esteem, and helps to release fear.
